Workload Distribution on an Idle Cluster

A customer sent the following screenshot asking why workload distribution looked so skewed, with nearly all reads and writes going to nodes 1 and 2.


An important thing to note here is that the CPU load shown is very low:  this is basically an idle system, so we're probably measuring a very small number of total writes, probably from internal tasks such as the rebalancer or statistics collection mechanism.  

So the take-home here is that the workload distribution tool is really meaningful when the system is under load, and may show spurious imbalances when the system is idle.
